Linda is a teacher by profession. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political Science and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Ghana. As a student she was actively involved in many student welfare activities and participated in gender promotion programs in her communities. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Gender, Peace and Security at KAIPTC – Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, Ghana. Having been raised by her grandfather who was a police man and frequently transferred to work in various communities in Ghana, she experienced at first hand the difficulties and challenges women and children have to go through to succeed. She was determined at an early age to contribute to activities that would ensure a better recognition and ultimately equal or better opportunities for women. She is blessed to have the opportunity to offer a helping hand that aims at helping women out of poverty and hardship while creating hope and a sense of self worth and dignity. She believes that the biggest investment a nation can make is to promote the welfare of women through education, vocational training and ultimately financial independence.
Kingsley is a registered nurse by profession with experience working in both Ghana and the United States. He holds a Bachelors degree in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Chicago, IL, USA and a Masters Degree in Public Health from University of New England, Maine, USA. He is a strong public health advocate who has worked with many communities both in Ghana and the United States on community preparedness and education against emergencies and disease outbreak. He believes that the success of every country depends on its healthy population and successful healthcare interventions must start from the doorsteps of the community.
Yaw is a seasoned financial management executive and an accounting professional whose experiences span a range of industries from banking and finance, oil and gas, Energy and Utilities and Construction. He is a fellow of the Association of the Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) He has extensive knowledge and experience in planning, treasury and taxation. He graduated from the University of Ghana with a BSc Degree in Administration with majors in Accounting. He started his professional life as a General Administrator with the Holy Family Hospital in Berekum in 2003 after his National Service with the same institution ended in 2002. He then moved to work with UT Financial Services in September of 2005 for a period of three years as a Branch Accountant and then joined the West African Gas Pipeline Company as a Financial Specialist in Charge of Accounts Receivable and Planning. Yaw has also worked as Financial Controller with CENIT Energy, an independent power producer between 2012 and 2013 where he guided the company to successfully negotiate a commercial tariff for power supply to the ECG. He worked with Weatherford, an upstream Oil and Gas field service operator in the equipment rental and service sub sectors, also as a financial controller. Since 2015 he has been the Finance Manager of MAPA Insaat ve Ticaret A. S , a Turkish Multinational Company that built the Terminal 3 of the Kotoka International Airport .
Joyce Nyame is a critical thinker with deep passion for inclusion and empowerment of youth, persons with disabilities and women. She holds an MA in Development Studies with a specialization in Human Rights, Gender and Conflict Studies from Erasmus University Rotterdam (Institute of Social Studies, The Hague-Netherlands) and a BA in Linguistics and Theatre Arts from the University of Ghana, Ghana. She is currently the Programs
Coordinator with Youth Bridge Foundation (YBF) and is responsible for the coordination and harmonization of the Foundation’s advocacy projects and activities.
Prior to joining YBF, Joyce advanced into a Project Coordinator with the Network for Women’s Rights in Ghana (NETRIGHT), a women’s rights advocacy organization in Accra. She also works with the Manso Nkwanta Traditional Council (in the Ashanti Region of Ghana) where she obtained experience in traditional case arbitration and the general justice delivery system. Passionate about how systematic barriers to self-empowerment can be addressed, Ms. Nyame undertakes periodic capacity development sessions for young persons at the Junior High School level; to contribute to youth empowerment and an empowered ‘next’ generation of equal access; where both girls/women and boys/men are able to dream, aspire
and achieve.
She enjoys dancing, cooking and singing at her leisure times.
