Every year World Menstrual Hygiene Day is observed on May 28 with the main to change the social stigma associated with menstruation. The date May 28 was chosen to observe the day because on average the menstrual cycle for most women is 28 days and the menstruation period for most women is for five days.
This year, the CEO of Abronoma Foundation, Miss Linda Nyarko Yeboah organized menstrual hygiene education for school children at
Duadasoc Number one (1) Senior high school and Goka Technical Senior High school
This was done with the help and supports from teachers in the school.
The Abronoma Foundation also donated boxes of sanitary pads which were distributed to the female school children in the school.
